While the ABSOLUT VODKA advertisements are wonderfully creative and innovative, some yellow pansies believe that they encourage alcoholism. As such, ad-critics have decided to PARODY these ads. Here are some examples:

HERE IS THY FIRST TEST

Answer the following questions. Thou art to hand them in together with all other assignments. Ye may print this page or ye may copy the questions down. Do remember to attach them to the  assignments which follow on the next page.

1. How are these advertisemnts similar to the originals? Give at least 2 examples.
2. How are they different from the originals? Give at least 3 examples.
3.  What message are they trying to convey? You may want to               explain each advertisement individually.
4. What devices are employed to fulfill this purpose? Be very specific. For e.g. do the ads use humour? To what effect?
5. In one about 1 paragraph define PARODY.
